my birthday

When I was sick, I never really celebrated my birthday.

We had the cake and the presents, but I didn’t really truly know what was happening as I was lost in my illness.

Probably for about 7 or 8 years I have birthdays I do not remember at all.

I always tell people, I do celebrate my birthday now. However, it’s just another day for me.

Wait, wait…keep reading.

Every day should be your birthday.

Don’t wait for a day in the future to celebrate life. Celebrate it now.

I learned at a very young age what it’s like to lose everything in one single day.

Anything can happen tomorrow.

So, I always say, celebrate every day like it’s your birthday.

Be grateful every single day that you get one more day.

Now, onto my birthday.

I am 45 and I feel amazing! Like, really, really amazing!

I honestly have the most beautiful life now.

I think God is like, Samantha, you paid your dues, enjoy life now!

Though, like I said, I also know that in one day everything can be taken away from you and everything can change. I learned that young.

I am also very grateful I learned that at a young age. It gave me such a better perspective on life!

Now don’t get me wrong, you still have to be smart and sensible. You could definitely live until 90.

All I am saying is, be grateful for today and all the blessings this day brings.

Celebrate yourself and with everyone you love, every single day.

So yes my birthday is just another day.

But, it’s quite possibly the best day of my entire life. Do you understand?

Every single day we get another day is the best day of my entire life!
