honest, if anything

People always say to me, if anything sam, you are honest. It’s a value I love about myself.

My father always says, Samantha just calls a spade a spade.

I won’t talk behind your back, I’ll say it to your face.

And if I am in the wrong, I will acknowledge it.

I won’t make fun of you.

I will never take advantage of anyone. And I will protect you, if you mean something to me.

I will give you grace but expect grace in return.

If I am sad, you will know and happy, you will know too.

I’ve never followed the unspoken rules in life, and I don’t know if I ever will follow them. Hence, the honesty.

I’ve always wanted to be true to myself in my life and be authentic. It works sometimes and doesn’t others.

Though, it’s built me many deep and amazing relationships.

I love who I am. I won’t pretend to be perfect. And you won’t see perfect images of me everywhere. Yet, if you choose the alternative, I wont judge you.

I am who I am.

Knowing myself some days and others not.

It’s beautiful and sad at the exact same time.

It’s challenging for me to live in this world sometimes with the way I am, yet absolutely amazing.  

And to be honest, I’ve always been up for a good challenge.
